Update is trying to force me to use gmail everytime I start it. I do not wish to sign into gmail.

How can I uninstall the new update or remove the requirement to sign into gmail. It keeps asking me to sign into Gmail. I don't wish to sign into gmail to use my email. Not a happy camper. Thanks John

It will only ask you for credentials for accounts you have in Thunderbird. If you do not want to sign into gmail, remove the account from Thunderbird, so it does not expect you to want to get mail on that account..
