Un-check a category for a group of contacts in "CardBook"
Hi all, I have a small issue with the CardBook add-on of Thunderbird. I accidentally assigned a large group of people to a wrong category (by right clicking on the entire list of selected contacts, going to "category" and ticking the box at the wrong category). Now when I select all those contacts and go to "category" again, I cannot uncheck that box, because box is simply unticked (even though all selected contacts are surely part of that category). I can untick each contact separately, but that would be very time consuming...? Is there a button, trick, function that I a missing? Thanks!

If you right-click the category in the left pane, Remove Category, that will remove it from all contacts assigned that category. If you have other contacts properly assigned that category, you will have to re-categorize them, but that can be done in one step by selecting them and then applying the context menu.
