zip file attachement corrupted when recieved
hi - am having an issue with a specific daily incoming price file email with the attached zipped csv file being corrupted - details are:-
1. this is happening for one file 142525.CSV.zip only - all other ziped csv file are recieved ok 2. other people in the company are recieving the file ok - they are all running Outlook as their email client 3. i have tried deleting the mimetypes.rdf file but this did not fix the issue 4. i ran the Rebuild Global Database and this did not fix the issue. 5. the issue started from a specific date as i was recieving the email uncorrupted last year. 6. when viewing the email message source from when i was recieving the emails ok to when the attachement started to be corrupted was when the email Content-Type was changed from application/octet-stream to text/plain - not sure how/why this happened. 7. am running Thunderbird version 60.4.0 32-bit
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

have you tried disabling the anti virus from scanning mail? They have a long history of corrupting attachments, usually PDf or ZIP. They must get special treatment.
hi Matt - not at this point as my work collegues that are getting the emails without the attached ZIP file being corrupted are running the same anti-virus software as me - ESETs NOD32.
Plus no other zipped files are being corrupted - just this one.
Do you think i should still try disabling ESET?
Of course I think disabling mail scanning is a good idea, it is a standard diagnostic process. DO I think it will fix the issue? I have no idea. I do not regularly get zip attachments to test that functionality. I know I have very few issues with Nod32. But I tend to ignore mail in anti virus products as much as I can because of the issues they tend to cause. No real improvement in security for a great deal more trouble is how I see mail scanning.
hi Matt - i disabled ESET anti-virus but the csv ZIP file attachement still was corrupted in the new price feed email - what would you recommend the next step be ?
