I have repeatedly installed Firefox from the Play Store on a Samsung galaxy s4. After launching it, I go to CNN or some other news site to try it out and add two addons (self destructing cookies and ghostery).

Every single time after I close Firefox (without even using the Quit add-on) and re-launch it, it has eliminated all of my add ons and will not load a single webpage. Not even Google.com. It does this even when I've reinstalled and added no add-ons. It constantly crashes after the first launch.

From what I've read in the reviews on the Google Play Store, I'm not the only one having this problem.

Firefox...........WHERE IS THE HELP?????????????

Do you have the same problems with Firefox Beta from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox_beta ?

Hi lawdoctor.

Unfortunately I don't have a Galaxy S4.

I tested the self destructing cookies and ghostery add-ons on a Galaxy S3 running android Jellybean 4.3 and a Note 3 running Andrid Kitkat 4.4.2 and was not able to reproduce your problem (I went to CNN.com and google.com and tapped on various links and quit the Firefox 28.0.1 and force closed it from Android settings.

As alex_mayorga suggested (thanks alex!) please try using Firefox for 29 beta. Also please try uninstalling.

and if that doesn't help please provide the following to help us help you:

1. your exact Galaxy S4 model number: Android Settings->General->About device-Model Number why? Samsung has many variants of their phones and tablets. We've found in the past that less popular variants can have weird issues that aren't noticed on the more popular variants. (e.g. a CDMA variant for the USA may have issues that the the LTE variant for Europe doesn't have)

2. Your exact configuration of the two add-ons: ghostery and self destructing cookies

3. Anything else e.g. you are running some sort of Android anti-virus if so please tell us what you are running

Finally, I have asked our community to try on their Samsung Galaxy S4s. Hopefully one of them can help.

Cheers!

...Roland
