On must websites, if any media is playing the DownloadHelper "balls" are lit in color and rotating, and I can click and download at will. Every so often though I find a site for which the DH icon stay black-and-white and doesn't move and I can't DL the media. Sometimes a refresh or restart will fix this but sometimes not. I use Firefox 24.0 and Windows XP and the latest version of DH. Thanks.

DownloadHelper documentation is here.

I don't use that add-on myself, but the documentation makes it sound like information about the supported web sites is built into that add-on.

How do I access the list of supported sites ?

Click on the DownloadHelper icon. It requires version 2.0 or later.

Soundcloud.com is the site and while it's not on DH's list, it works most of the time, just not all the time.

If that site isn't on the list, it isn't officially supported.

Have you tried using DH support? This is really their support issue.

Just select one of the questions (click in the circle on the left), and follow the instructions.
