immediately upon loading. Cannot open firefox in safe mode as program crashes before I can select safemode options.

I have attempted to use system restore to return to a point at which firefox loaded with no success. I have removed firefox entirely using revo uninstall and reinstalled with the same result.

Your crash report indicates that the cause may be an old version of Roboform. Update Roboform to the current version

Firefox 8.0.1 was released in response to the Roboform problem (and with a Java problem for Mac users).

  • Even if you update to Firefox 8.0.1, you should still update Roboform to the latest version. All Roboform versions prior to 7.6.2 have been blocklisted in Firefox.
  • If you update Roboform to the current version, it should not be necessary to update to Firefox 8.0.1
  • Windows users are not currently being offered the update to Firefox 8.0.1 through Help > About Firefox > Check for Updates. You will need to (1) download the full installer, (2) SAVE it to your hard drive, (3) when the download is complete, close Firefox (Firefox button > Exit or File > Exit), (4) then run the installer and install over the top of your Firefox 8.0 installation.
  • Firefox 8.0.1 download link (choose your OS and Firefox interface language: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html

Hi Tobbi Just to confirm that this issue is NOT resolved. I clicked the wrong link before replying to your request for Crash ID.

Sorry for the confusion.

Heya,

please load Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and follow the steps there.

Then disable the Roboform plugin using the Add-ons Manager.
