Is there parental control on firefox, or I how do I block websites that my children can not view?

There is no built-in parental control system in Firefox. You can use an add-on such as ProCon Latte to filter content, though for a knowledgeable user it is quite easy to bypass add-ons. An alternative is a third-party web filtering application such as the free K9 Web Protection (requires at least OS X 10.4.7).
