I recently switched to linux and I cannot find a way to link profiles from my windows install. In an older version I could make a symbolic link in ~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles to the profiles in /run/media but now profiles are stored in ~/.mozilla/firefox and it doesn't understand my symbolic links, how can I do this?

You'll want to read this about profile transfer first. [wrong articles] You can't link Windows O/S to Linux they are two different O/S.

It seems like you misunderstood the question and also did not research and never dual booted with Windows and Linux before.

The OP wants to share the same Profile between Windows and Linux installs of Firefox. It is possible to do this however you can run the risk of damaging Profile and such.

Seen people discussing doing this for the last eighteen plus years but have ever had a reason to try this myself in my dual boot Windows/Linux installs.

People say if would be better to use say Firefox Sync instead.
