On the Cloudflare forum they suggest using https://1.1.1.1/dns-query instead of https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query to ignore intial DNS lookup since the IP 1.1.1.1 would be direct.

Why isn't https://1.1.1.1/dns-query used as the default for DOH instead of https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query?

Cloudflare forum entry I cannot find the link. I think they keep it for a month.

I have configure firefox "enable DNS over https" configured with "https://1.1.1.1/dns-query" and it works. but if I configure "https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query" it does not work.

the IP value of mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com resolves to 104.16.249.249, and 104.16.248.249

I opened another query with cloudflare named "Recommend way to implement DNS over HTTPS on Firefox "

The response I received is that "sdayman" is that it will save me a lookup. Which makes absolute sense. However the domain as I stated above (104.16.249.249, and 104.16.248.249 ) does not work.

It appears that Firefox default DNS over HTTPS does not work. this is the domain "https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query"

This was confirmed by Cloudflare forum member. I would like to hear from anyone else as if this is the case it should be corrected!

Firefox default DNs over HTTPS " https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query" Does not resolve when network.trr.mode=3 which is only use DNS over HTTPS through firefox.

The domain "mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com" resolves to 104.16.248.249 adn 104.16.249.249 instead of 1.1.1.1 Is that a mistake?
