Logins sync, but bookmarks don't

I set up a new Android phone (both old and new phones are on Oreo, both have Firefox 63.0.2). When I log in to my Firefox account on the new device, my logins sync, but my bookmarks don't :-(((

I have one folder in my bookmarks; the folder does show up on the new device, but none of it's contents . . . and none of my "top level" bookmarks. I have less than 50 bookmarks total.

Any suggestions are welcom!

Thank you for the update. We continue to work to improve Firefox Sync and hopefully there will be some changes coming in an update in the new year.

Actually, this did work . . . but it took about 1.5 hours for my new device to decide that there were new bookmarks and retrieve them.

It would be a HUGE improvement if there was some way to see the data available in the sync service (maybe just a note in the profile: "Saved 61 bookmarks, 122 logins and 3 tabs" ?).
