I've checked a support answer which refers to using the image of a key which is shown in the address bar. But no key is shown in my firefox version. Where can I find the key please?

Make sure you have the following option enabled under Options in the tab Privacy & Security ttp://i.imgur.com/JnRE8Pm.png this box should be ticked like in the image. If this is the case, when entering a password to a site, you should get a prompt if you want to save the password for that account on that specific site, if you choose to ignore this prompt, you can bring it back by clicking here: http://i.imgur.com/zlKlzgD.png

Thanks for your help. I had actually checked all the right boxes etc. and still no joy. So I did the Fail Safe thing! Closed everything down and did yet another cold start. This time Bingo! Passwords are back and key image now shows. A happy but unexplained ending! Many thanks.
