My Dell 10v notebook has a 10 inch screen.

When I try to get emails , it tells me the cert is out of date and offers the option to override, but the dialog box is too long and the bottom of it is out of view below the visible screen. I can drag it up by the title bar but cannot click on 'confirm security exception' - when i let go it pops down out of view again.

I cannot adjust my screen properties to force it into view ..... HELP !

Regards

My apologies to all. Embarassed !

I've just realised that the popup form is generated by Avast Anti-Virus - not Thunderbird.

Regard this as closed .

If the cert has expired I doubt you can create an exception. Talk to your email provider. They'd need to install a new cert ASAP.

Thank you.

My understanding is that the option to allow an exception is there to provide for , as well as others, the expiration of a cert.

The form should still be resizeable and designed to fit all possible screen configurations.

PS. Note that on my desktop I was able to confirm exception in Thunderbird, with no issue.
