Why do i need it to sync anything, what does it do and what is the purpose of it, sorry i just dont get it... I've read a little where it does something w/bookmarks, just not sure if i need it or not...just need help here please. thanks everyone im just lost a little.

Sync will backup your bookmarks, history and passwords. It will also allow you to connect multiple instances of Firefox and share the same bookmarks, history and passwords. For example having access to my desktop passwords is useful as typing them on mobile is slower.
