Hello support forum.

I think I have the latest stable Firefox update, both on my dekstop and my mobile phone.

Regarding my question: on my mobile phone i can get to about:config and set something like max_pages preference or expire days or something like that. So on my mobile I set it to 999999.

I cant find the same preferences on my desktop about:config, is there another preference for this?

I have found that the places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages is set to a preset number. now I need to change it. I changed it once but I forgot how I did it, can someone help me change this preference?

Thank you!

Firefox automatically calculates how many pages to keep without affecting performance and saves that value in the transient_max_pages pref.
You can create a max_pages pref to override that current maximum, but it is better to leave those prefs at their default.

You can see the current value via the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_max_pages on the about:config page.

Right-click that pref and select Modify.

I have looked further and found that places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages is mirroring max_pages preference, so should i just modify max_pages?
