Bookmarks backup does not include synced bookmarks

more options

I created a sync account and synced my bookmarks from firefox on android to firefox on mac. Afterwards I made a backup (saved to html) of my bookmarks and cleared them on both devices. Then I imported the bookmarks onto a third device (also mac). However the bookmarks synced from android weren't included in the html file... they arent in the firefox bookmarks back ups, which I have restored to check.

Is there a 'sync history' function of firefox sync? If not, where can I find these lost bookmarks. Thanks

Sorry, there is no "Sync history". One data set for Sync is on the Sync server.

Unfortunately, mobile bookmarks have historically not been included in bookmark backups. This is fixed in Bug 1274496.

If you sign in to that Firefox Account on a clean Firefox profile, the Android bookmarks should still be present in the account, unless you deleted them while connected to Sync.
