I left my previous employer, and I cannot access this account or the laptop I had anymore as I no longer work for them, I have 10 years worth of bookmarks saved in this account.

I am trying to login wityh my password but, I get "Sorry. We’ve locked your account", I really need to get back into this account so I can change the primary email address to my new employers email.

Possible ?

Thanks,Rich

Hi rich.smith,

This must be so frustrating for you .....

You have received a message that your account has been locked - here's what I'd like you to do :

First wait 24 hours until trying again. If it fails again and you still have access to the email account, then please create a bugzilla.mozilla.org account and use this link to create a request.

This is when your account is locked and you do not have access to the email account you created this Firefox account in, or the email is no longer accessible. I would recommend making a backup of your local profile first and then creating a new Firefox account.

If there is still a problem, please feel free to reply to this thread and we can help you the best that we can.

Thanks for the response, and here is my issues.

I cannot backup the profile, it was on a laptop that I no longer have access too. It was a company laptop for a business I no longer work for.

When I try and log in, it wants to confirm my identity by sending an email to a non existent email address, again, because It was a business email, belonging for a business I no longer work for.

When the email bounces back the account becomes locked.

I was under the impression that the sync was held in the cloud, which maybe incorrect, and could be pulled back onto my new business laptop by logging into my old account.

If its gone its gone - c'est la vie !

I will forward this to an administrator - might take a while till you get a reply, but hang in there  !

HI Rich and Happy,

Since you requested to change the password, previously encrypted data is no longer accessible/be decrypted.

I would suggest next time adding a secondary email to the account. Add a secondary email address to Mozilla accounts

I am sorry about that.
