Thunderbird has stopped saving drafts either on its own after (n) minutes of inactivity but also whan I press CtrlS In afct I cannot even move a message by dragging it into it

I pruned the drafts mailbox (deleted some old messages) in case that's it. No luck. I just see "copying message to drafts folder", the progress bar looks full (100%) but the highlight still moves from L to R (image) I repaired the drafts mailbox - no luck Stuck now, ideas please. Win 10 64. up to date TB

Chosen solution

Cancel any save in progress. Restart Thunderbird with addon disabled from the help menu. From the File menu select compact folders.

Once the compact is complete... check on the activity manager (tools menu > Activity manager) Restart Thunderbird and try a draft save.

Hole in one. Many thanks

Same problem here. It's been a problem for many months now. Doing the safe mode/compact process did not resolve the problem.

If the information here did not solve your problem, clearly it is not the same problem. It might be the same symptom, but that is not the same thing.

I suggest you ask your own question in the forum.
