Not a reply, but description of problem:

Yesterday my password for Thunderbird stopped working. I have an email account (jim@jdhallam.com) with Godaddy and use Microsoft.office.365 as interface between Thunderbird and Apple macOS Big Sur v11.4. Has not been a problem since 2016.
