Can't dismiss a meeting - it's driving me crazy

I'm using TB 78.13.0 on a Mac running MacOS 11.04.

This morning somebody emailed a meeting invitation to me. I accepted it. The meeting came and went - and TB keeps popping up a meeting reminder. Not just now and then - about 20 or 30 times per hour.

I click on Dismiss, and it disappears and then comes back.

Or when I click on Dismiss, a new dialog box pops about TB not being able to do something and I click on "Submit my changes anyhow" - and a few minutes later the dialog box pops up again.

I tried quitting and relaunching TB. That didn't help. I tried deleting the meeting from my calendar. That didn't help either.

Please help! This is driving me crazy and affecting my work productivity.

Chosen solution

Perhaps you could provider the error message verbatim. "Or when I click on Dismiss, a new dialog box pops about TB not being able to do something and I click on "Submit my changes anyhow" - and a few minutes later the dialog box pops up again." does not really provide anything useful at all. If we were aware of what it could not do, like update your calendar then some sort of progress beyond guessing could possibly be made.

While I was writing the original post, I was waiting for the message to come up so that I could grab a screen shot and include it with the post.

The meeting notifications were coming in sets, like waves. 5 or 6 notifications will come in quick succession, then there will be a delay of 10 or 12 minutes until the next set. I was in a lull between sets (using surfer lingo) when I wrote the post. So I didn't post a screen grab.

The next time the notification popped up, I didn't click on "Submit my changes anyhow". I clicked on the alternate option in the dialog box (sorry, I don't have a screen shot). It said something about resetting the server. After that, the notice popped up one more time, and I clicked on "Submit my changes anyhow", and it stopped bugging me.

So it seems to be solved. Wish I had tried clicking on the alternate option in the dialog box much sooner.

Matt, I am having the same problem. The reminders window refuses to disappear. I click on dismiss, the window goes away and an instant later it shows up again.
