I can not get the Optimum setting to work. I am currently using TB for Verizon and I have no problem with it but no matter what I do I can not get the TB to connect with the Optimum "mail.optimum.net"

I am using the instructions from Optimum https://www.optimum.net/FAQ/#/answers/a_id/3897 I am setting it up for IMAP, When I hit the "Re Test", it say server found with settings. However when I hit the "Done" button, it comes back with "Unable to log into server. Probably wrong configuration, user name or password. If I try the POP3 setting If I hit Advance it does not go there but looks like it created a new account but if I attemp to l check messages I get the error message "Sending of password for user elyankowski did not succeed. Mail server mail.optimum.net responded: Authentication failed"

I can sign on to the Optimum Web mail but rather use TB. Any ideas what is wrong.

Do you have the full email address for the User Name? Based on your link, the settings should be: incoming IMAP/POP server mail.optimum.net, port = 993/995, security = SSL/TLS, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address; outgoing SMTP server mail.optimum.net on port 587, STARTTLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.
