Is this a virus or something that Mozilla has added?

I recently got "quick converter" info with this new tab appearance ( they used to show up as blank) , but I ran numerous antimalware/antivirus to hopefully rid my computer of that, and now" quick converter "no long appears. But the "top sites" "recommended by pocket" and "highlights" that accompanied the quick converter page appearance remain. That leads to me suspect the virus is still present. Thank you.

Hi,

Would you please take a look at this article :

Hide or display content in New Tab

Is that what you're talking about  ?

As for that My Quick Converter :

Good for you to run those malware scans - well done  !

Just to be on the safe side :

Would you check Options => Add-ons => Extensions - if you see anything that looks 'suspicious' or unfamiliar : remove it. And do the same in Windows Control Panel.
