Hi. Please Help!

Yesterday my PC was operating fine, Youtube, Farmville / Cityville games via Facebook etc etc.

I am running Windows Vista and Firefox Version 4.

Today, Youtube will not play videos and the aformentioned games will not load siting Flash Player needs updating.

I have updated this to Version. 10.2.153.1 .....yet Firefox does not seem to recognise this update.

Everything works perfectly well in Internet Explorer - and yes I am aware they are different varients of Adobe Flash Player.

I have tried the following:

1. Disabling anti virus to install Flash Player update. 2. Uninstalling Flash Player and installing latest version. 3. Installing latest version via Manual updates. 4. Disabled other 'add ons' in Firefox.

However, problems still persist for Firefox (which is also painfully slow), yet all is fine in Internet Explorer.

I really dont want to have to revert back to IE....but given this situation it appears my hand will be forced.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave.

The lack of response is deafening. Im guessing then that Firefoix has serious issues then?..well it'll be there loss if more, like me, opt for Internet Explorer and Google Chrome (both these browsers work fine with the latest Flash Player installed)

Not having your exact problem but ever since I upgraded to Firefox 4 on Mac I have been seeing a great deal of issues with Flash. First of all, most Flash sites are now slow as heck, even thought they run fine in other browsers. The biggest issue for me are with full screen Flash sites. I am a flash developer and it seems with Firefox 4 that all of my resize code which relies on stage.stageWidth and stage.stageHeight do not work any more. This is the first browser I have ever seen do this. Like I said, this is only happening in Firefox 4. I have the latest Flash player. In fact, I uninstalled the player and reinstalled to the latest just to be sure......Mozilla, what gives??

Well..sorted it myself with the following method. 1. Uninstall all plugins using Adobe uninstaller. 2. Totally uninstall Firefox from PC including saved data / bookmarks etc. 3. Restart PC. 4. Disable Firewall / Anti Virus software. 5. Reinstall Firefox 4.0. 6. Visit Youtube, try to play video and install plugin from prompt (U have tried other sites and adobes site itself and does not work). 7. Restart PC. 8. Enable Anti Virus / Firewall software........I found it was crucial to Install Firefox from scratch and then install the Plug In via Youtubr and no issues since. Farcical though and my opinion of Firefox has dropped dramatically following this episode.

It is really a Firefox and Adobe Flash problem. Both indicate this would work. I am very frustrated as IE8 causes my XP machine to crash. I can play Youtube videos when installing the correct flash player but cannot stream any others. The video frames are loaded but it will not allow it to play on either Hulu or Uverse.
