when i type in words that are not spelt correct my firefox does not under line the wrong spelling , even though my spell checker down under in tools says it is on , please help :L

Only the en-US version of Firefox comes with a spell check dictionary, due to licensing. All other versions need to have the correct dictionary installed. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/
