I wanted to use an add on. The site told me I needed to download Firefox, which I thought was odd because I was already using the app. It sent me to the App Store, where I saw I needed to update Firefox. I did so, and went back to the add on page. It was still prompting me to download Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and am still getting the message that I need to download Firefox to use add ones. It gives me the link to the App Store, which only has the ‘open’ option. When I click that, it just sends me back to the page I have open…which tells me to download Firefox from the App Store.

Due to Apple's restrictions, you can't use add-ons on iOS.

Extensions are only available for desktop Firefox (macOS, Windows, and Linux) and for Android Firefox. Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) is basically a shell due to Apple's restrictions on things like what web browser engine can be used and such.

desktop Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

Android Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/android/
