Never had this problem on Win 7 but a friend complained about this happening to her on Win 10. I thought she was hitting a key combination to cause it, but now that I am using Win 10, I'm having the same issue. I'll be typing along and all of a sudden the last letter or letters disappear and the cursor goes some place else!! Very annoying. Sometimes the whole email disappears! I slowed down the keyboard and mouse settings but that didn't help. Any thoughts on this problem?? Thanks.

I've been paying attention to that and I don't think I'm hitting any odd keys to cause shortcut action. Is there a way to turn off shortcuts just to make sure??

Not that I am aware of. I do not do it much in Thunderbird, but all the time in Firefox. (same editor, Thunderbird uses the one built into Firefox)
