My Firefox browser has been displaced by a Yahoo and/or Ask browser. I'm bothered since I didn't request the change and ALSO because when I now search for items I used to find I can no longer find them, in some instances as a category or in other instances as a website; as regards a particular search, Icke, only negative and misleading material shows and NOT the David Icke website which I used to be able to find with ease. This situation is inconvenient and spooky AND makes me uncomfortable using the internet.

Sounds like you have adware, malware or at least some unwanted toolbar interfering with Firefox.

Firefox lets you easily choose and select the search engine it uses. By default it is I think Google in most parts of the world (outside China) but Yahoo in USA. You should be able to set the search engine of your choice from a small selection, or install some new additional search engine.

Check for any unwanted addons or programs and remove them. See Also

There are a few tools available to Windows users. On a Mac I think it may be worth trying to scan with Clam AV (That is probably already installed on your Operating System)
