Why does my CNN homepage suddenly show ads?

I've designated CNN as my homepage. The sides of the page are usually empty, but lately I'm getting CNN ads. Reloading the page usually removes the ad. Is there a setting in Adblock Plus that I'm missing? The problem just started recently. I've repeatedly scanned for rootkits and viruses--all clear.

that might be caused by a recent change in adblock: https://adblockplus.org/development-builds/faster-firefox-startup

If its part of the CNN page, about all you can do is try to have Adblock block those elements of the add.

Thank you, Phillip and Fred McD. Phillip, this sounds like my problem! My workaround was simply to change my homepage--until Adblock Plus fixes the problem.
