Where are you entering your search?

  • Firefox built-in home page (about:home)
  • Firefox search box (the one with the search engine icon drop-down on the left side)
  • Address bar
  • Google.com

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems (e.g. google.com and local google site):

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
