This could be an attack ad (an ad that tries to scare you into buying some tech support services, etc.).

First, to close an unwanted Firefox tab or window, try the Ctrl+W keyboard shortcut.

To minimize all your application windows to the desktop, hold down the "Windows" key and tap either the D or M key. Hopefully then you can have access to the rest of your life even if Firefox is temporarily messed up.
