I want to clear the recent history and for that I need to click on Tools, but Tools does not appear on the screen. Besides, the full line with Edit and Tools does not appear on my screen. How can I get them back?

Click View | Toolbars | Customize. In the panel which opens, click the button called "Restore Default Set".

You can also clear recent history by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE and then selecting options from the menu which appears.

Thanks. The second solution helps (Control, shift, delete). For the first, I don't even see the View; it does not appear on the screen.

If you start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode, do the links reappear? If so, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
