When I tried to open hotmail in firefox today, it gives me a blank page. Yesterday I it was working fine and all the yesterdays before that. I have checked the privacy and security and put it in as an exception. I have checked to see if there was a certificate needed or if I could put it in as an exception, but Firefox says it has a certificate and no exception is needed. I've closed out of hotmail and opened it. I've closed out of Firefox and opened it. I've restarted my computer. None of these have worked. It is still a blank page. Please help.

It works for me in Win7. see screenshot Did you try Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-4troubleshoot-modesf5safe-modesf

Clear browser cache. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache You can also try the option to Forget About This Site, but you will need to remember the password if you use this option. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/remove-websites-address-bar-suggestions

A full screenshot of your browser would be helpful and block any personal info.

Are you using a proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Also, what security software are you running?

I'm just using regular internet. No proxy server. I downloaded free virus software this summer when I had a different issue and that issue was resolved I think when I downloaded Firefox again. . Those softwares have since ended the trial versions of their programs. I can't upload a picture in word or PDF, so I'm not sure how to show you an open browser with a completely white screen. Nothing at all in it, but the address in the address bar.
