I work pretty much exclusively using Unified Folders, in particular a Unified Inbox. Thunderbird 115.11.0 checks for new messages on schedule and downloads from all three of my accounts automatically throughout the day. But if I want to do a manual download, the little cloud-with-an-arrow checks only my primary account, not the other two. Yet when I right-click the little cloud, that identical icon purports to represent all accounts. Am I misunderstanding something? Is there a way to essentially replace the one little cloud with the other so that a right-click and second selection is no longer necessary?

I have been given an email account as a board member of a local non-profit organization. I have tried but cannot get it to work in Thunderbird. It does, however, work on my Apple devices (iPad, iPhone & Watch). I'm missing important correspondence by not being able to get on my desktop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have not received my new emails and have tried different options to get it to work. It also says I have 300+ emails in trash but they don't show up for deletion. I have tried restoring default, I tried troubleshooting and nothing has worked. It all started yesterday afternoon when I tried to get my emails. They are in the server but are not loading on my Thunderbird page

Our calendar in Thunderbird is currently not letting any new events be entered, is now completely blank of all entries and causing a headache as we have no access to information previously entered for next month and information from last month.

Any help provided would be appreciated.

i SET UP THUNDERBIRD ON MY NEW COMPUTER, SUCCESSFULLY, BUT THREE DAYS AGO MY WEB HOST/SERVERS UPGRADED THEIR SYSTEM. i SPENT THREE DAYS SORTING OUT NEW SETTINGS. CONFIGURATIONS, PASSWORDS, ETC, TO GET IT ALL WORKING, IT WAS DIFFICUL BUT IT NOW WORKS. HOWEVER, I HAVE MANY FOLDERS OF MAIL ,AND MAIL NOT IN FOLDERS, IN THEUNDERBIRD ON AN OLDER COMPUTER. i WANT TO IMPORT THOSE FOLDERS OF MAIL, AND ADD THEM TO MY NEW COMPUTER THUNDERBIRD INBOX SET UP, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO IMPORT THE OLD SETTINGS AGAIN!" THAT COULD BE A DISASTER. I JUST WANT THE MAIL AND THE FOLDERS. ALL THE VIDEOS i SEE ARE TO IMPORT THE OLD SETTINGS AS WELL. CAN I JUST EXPORT/IMPORT THE ACTUAL MAIL FOLDERS AND MAIL, AND NOT SABOTAGE MY HARD WORK BY CHANGING ALL THE NEW SETTINGS AND PASSWORDS BACK TO WHAT THEY USED TO BE IN THE PROCESS?? I have a new email in outlook account. I have created a new identity in thunderbird for this. It is receiving emails but will not send them. I have made an app password in Microsoft but still can’t get it to work. Could someone help with this please Stephen

Thunderbird doesn't consistently show messages for "digest" mailing-list emails. E.g. for a subscription to "users-digest@activemq.apache.org".

Looking at an individual mail, e.g. 57170, it also does not show the contents. Using Ctrl-U to show the source then reveals the contents.

Some mails always end in spam folder no matter which settings I have tried for example collected adresses or check/uncheck spam settings. For a test I have two hotmail accounts. When I from thunderbird send mail from one to the other, it ends in spamfolder. But if I from the same mail account from outlook.live website send mail to the same account, it doesn't end in Thunderbird spam folder. Besides this many other safe and regocnized mailaccounts recently starts to end in spamfolder. Can any thing be done?

     On my rpannan@bigpond.com I ,m not receiving all my emails it says 4 messages on the in box and only getting 1 message why .

While I haven't encountered this problem enough to have sussed out what sequence of events causes it, Thunderbird will occasionally get into a mode where I can't switch windows focus. (See the attached screen shot of the Task Manager showing you can't "switch to" Thunderbird.)

When this happens nothing seems to work except killing the task via Task Manager. Not optimal.

This time - the most recent occurrence (today) - when this happened, there was an outstanding update. After killing the task and restarting I got the message "Thunderbird is installing your updates." Still not optimal, even if it is a critical update.

After years of operating satisfactorily now when try to get new messages I am frequently told that there are several new messages but nothing appears in my inbox. I have checked the emails on the server but they match what is in my inbox. Nothing has gone missing and I do not have a 'junk' folder. I have tried clearing the cache but it did not work. Could this be a fault with the latest update to Thunderbird? This is nothing more sinister than highly irritating

Hi Really need some help please.

Running TB latest version 115.11.0 on Win 10. Multiple gmail and other accounts, both POP and IMAP.

Following a catastrophic loss of accounts and messages, I made a fresh TB install then I restored from a previously saved profile from a month ago.

Accounts and folders with messages all now appear.

With one POP gmail account, the inbox and sent folders are stuck at last month's position. I expected the last month's messages to be downloaded as soon as I log into TB, but I'm not able to Get Messages.

My TB log in to collect gmail messages is rejected with this message - The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Invalid credentials.

I have checked the account settings server address, and password is set to 0Auth2.

I have changed the gmail password on the gmail website (browser is Firefox) - which is accessed without problem, but only incoming mails are visible, my outgoing mails should be on my PC.

Every time I get the "enter new password" dialog I enter the password that gets me into gmail's on-line website - it is rejected with the STAT message.

I cannot send or receive gmail messages through TB - how can I force gmail to let TB access my emails?

I changed the columns to be shown in the tasks view and have it sorted by due date. But every time Thunderbird starts, it resets my view settings for the tasks and shows me the default columns and order. How can I fix it?

Quite often recently, Thunderbird just stops pulling in emails.

It seems that I need to upgrade but find out by chance by looking under About under Help. Should there not be some other prompt as it is very confusing and some may have no idea what is happening?

So running thunderbird 115.10.1 (64-bit) and more and more issues:

• the app keeps getting non-responsive for long period of time, to fix this I have to force quit the app.
• at times when composing an email the app freezes where no typing occurs for seconds or typing is very slow or after typing awhile the text suddenly appears.

Seems to be happening more and more trying to figure out how it can return back to it's rockstar state when it was <99 version.

any help would be appreciated.

I have used Mail Merge addon for years and it works fine. But I would like to use the if then else capability in my TO line. I have the authors page on usage but everything I try seems to be wrong. I have a spread sheet with the following headers: Email Veteran

Under email is the email address. Under Veteran is either Y or N. If used as stand alone {{Email}} in TO line substitution is flawless.

However if I use {{Veteran|Y|Email}} it doesn't work. I have tried enclosing the Y in both single and double quotes and that does't help. I have replaced the Email field name with some text and that doesn't work. So I am thinking that I must have an issue with the way the fields are being interpreted.

I just downloaded and installed the latest version of Thunderbird and MailMerge addon.

Any help greatly appreciated.
