I was prompted to install an up-date to Firefox, this being 6.0.2, however when trying to open Mozilla Firefox with this update it is not connecting to the internet. It is not my pc or connection as both Crome and IE work. I have used Firefox for years as IE is far to slow and I don't like Crome; Ihave never had this problem before with up-dates. I just want my old version back but everywhere I look points me to the new version download. Can you please provide me with a link that will give me only Firefox 5 version

Firefox 5 is no longer supported, so if you do want to downgrade it would be recommended you drop to Firefox 3.6.

Your problem is unlikely to be solely due to Firefox. At a first guess maybe it is related to security software not recognising the new version of Firefox and blocking your internet access.

Try to check any security software or firewall recognises Firefox 6. You could consider very briefly disabling any such firewall or security software, but remember to reset it afterwards. For detailed advice on the problem follow links in the article I have provided a link to .
