I can't work with the tag display in the new version of Thunderbird. It's too strong to have the whole line coloured. it used to be the letters only. I returned to Thunderbird 68.

Is there a way to modify how the tags appear?

Is there a way to stop Thunderbird asking me to update?

I have the Add on "Tag toolbar" which works a treat in TB 68 as I don't need to open the email to tag it. With TB 78 I have to open the email to choose.

Help. Thank you

The Tag Toolbar add-on for TB 78 colors the whole line by default, so remove that add-on if you prefer the standard coloring. Tags can be applied without opening, in any version of TB, from the context menu, Tag.
