I would like to display more rows of Top Sites on my home page, reducing the space allowed for Visited, Pocket, etc. Otherwise, being able to shrink size of icons would allow some increase in the number.

Are there options or Add-Ons for these functions?

I recommend that you try the new Firefox Preview browser ( available from the Google Play store). This allows you to add many more sites to the Top Sites as well as groups of tabs to you homepage in a new Collections feature.
