When I brought up Thunderbird this morning I got your advertisement that I had a new version. I need to get into my email and I really don't care if I have a new version or not. I use my email as part of my business. I couldn't remember my old username or password and when I asked you said you would send it to my email address which I can't get to. Its a nasty circle. Please help me get into my email.

An update to a new version does NOT alter or change your personal settings like username or password. The TB-program-files are kept in one place while all data, settings, messages, archive, address-books etc are stored under each users own space . Just to ensure that an update doesn't interfere with data.

Who said they would send you username and pwd??? thats strictly btw you and your email server provider.
