cant make firefox defaul browser in win 10
The make default dialog shifts to windows 10 - system - Apps - standard apps - webbroser The available browsers ahows Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge. Firefox is not an option available for selection. Mozilla Firefox is installed end visible in winmdows / system / Programs Yesterday I reinstalled Firefox to no avail. I added some basic information

Problem solved using workaround Thanks for the elaborate explanations which helped me a great deal
Solution found Go to settings (use menu or windows-I) Go to Apps Go to Standard Apps Do not select webbrowser in this spot! Move on to the end of the list where you'll find three options > by file type (i.e. htm or html) > by App > Standard App In all cases select Firefox

"Note: If Firefox is not listed as a program choice, uninstall Firefox from your computer (the uninstaller does not remove any user data such as history or bookmarks) and then reinstall Firefox to see if that registers your Firefox web browser."
