Hello, have you tried the flexible space in Customize?

Silly question, but how do I alter the size of the flexible space?

You cannot do this.

Flexible spaces have a weird stretchy quality. You might be able to fix their width using a custom style rule, but I haven't experimented with it myself.

A good site for style rule hacks is:

Also, I'm assuming you used Classic Theme Restorer before. The author posted a number of style rule workarounds on Github. Possibly there's something about spacers there.

Current Firefox versions only have the spacer in the Customize palette. You can add a flexible space and edit the browser.uiCustomization.state pref to change spacer to separator to turn the spacer to a separator. close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
