Note that you can run into problems if you disable fonts set by a website and use your own choices instead. *Options/Preferences -> Content : Fonts & Colors -> Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" In a lot of cases small icons you see these days on web pages are supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face rules). You might see little boxes that show the hex code of the character if such an icon font isn't used. If you have a font installed that covers this Unicode range then you may see a real character and not the little box with the character code.
