HTML5 audio not playing on tablet, but plays on phone in FFfM 24

I'm testing a site that uses the HTML5 audio tag (along with some JS) to play .mp3s on a web page. Desktop Firefox 24 plays them fine, along with FF 24 on my Nexus 4 (4.3). FF 24 on my tablet (4.0.4), however, does not play them. I checked html5test.com and it said mp3 playback wasn't supported on the tablet, but it was on the phone. Does this have something to do with differing Android versions? Both versions of FF are the same and up-to-date.

Keazen oplossing

For patent reasons, Firefox doesn't include an MPEG decoder and uses the one supplied by the platform. Maybe this isn't included with all builds of Android. Which tablet do you have?

That may be it, thanks! It's an HP Touchpad running CM9. It probably doesn't have the decoder due to licensing issues. Guess I'll stick with OGG. :)
