2xMacBook Pro's OS X 10.6.8. FF 5.0.1. Changed Master Password on one Mac/Browser, but forgot next day. Now every time open FF I get a prompt for Master Password Security Device.

Sync no longer works. Would like to reset FF 5.0.1 MPW so I could use my current/old Sync and access pw's in 5.0.1 browser. I found info on Sync, but no solution other than start over you've been Fracked.

You can reset the Master Password and then use the SyncKey from the other Mac to get that 2nd Mac re-connected with Sync; along with the email address for the username and the Password for your Sync account to get that 2nd Mac reconnected with Sync. You can get all that from the Password Manager on the 1st Mac. Once that is set up, your other Passwords should get Sync'd back to that 2nd Mac.

Not as bad as if you lost the SyncKey, too. Then you would be starting almost from scratch.

You can find the sync password and the sync key in the password manager on the computer where you originally created that sync account (email).
