In Firefox 3.6.13 on a PC running Windows XP Pro, I have suddenly been unable to open new tabs. I have done a bunch of things such as opening in safe mode; when I do that, and reset everything, I can open new tabs. When I delete the ASK toolbar, and then close and reopen Firefox, I cannot open new tabs. The problem therefore appears to be associated with the ASK toolbar. Any suggestions (other than leaving the ASK toolbar open)?

The only solution is to uninstall the Ask toolbar. This is a known compatibility problem with the Ask toolbar and current versions of Firefox.
