After updating firefox to 3.6 I was no longer prompted to save user name and password. I have gone to security and made sure the "remember password" box is checked. Can you help? Do I need to install an earlier version until this problem is fixed?

Everything is as you say it should be. It seems that lots of folks have this same problem. I am not/have never been in the Private Browsing mode. Also, I keep checking the "remember passwords for sites" box under the "security" tab and the next time that you go in to check it, it is unchecked. Can you help me?
