The cursor and background colors in Firefox render weird for me in Linux Firefox. See attached picture. I suspect a setting of mine because Firefox itself can't be this weird.

Anybody kwnow what's wrong and how to fix it?

Try downloading another copy of Firefox, run it from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Good tip! Thanks for the link. But believe it it or not: same problem. Maybe it's my system/video card:

  • Linux Ubuntu 20.04 'Focal Fossa'
  • Video card/video chip: Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller
  • The video chip is "in" my Intel CPU which is: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G1620

I can't see the problem. What exactly is wrong? Have you enabled "resist fingerprinting"? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-protection-against-fingerprinting
