When I delete a message, it does not go into my Trash Folder. My TRASH and JUNK folders are always empty. Also, on 2 of my other email accounts with Thunderbird, my JUNK tab is missing.

Are your accounts IMAP or POP?

Most folks with issues use IMAP, but confirming that and the mail provider being use is necessary. If you using a non English version again please say so.

The terms trash and junk are not universal some like outlook call trash Deleted for instance so details are necessary..

Hi Matt, I am using IMAP and English version of Thunderbird. I delete files and nothing is in the TRASH folder, and I don't have things going to JUNK either. They both are always empty. I tried sending you picture 2 ways and both says its too big.

Same here! When i delete an email, it's deleted irreversably, while the setting is set to move to trash folder... but trash folder is empty, which is totally different from the Gmail's official trash folder. Thunderbird creates a simple imap folder called trash, but it's not the real gmail trash folder!

With my other email account, thunderbird recognizes the real trash folder, and names it "Bin". On that account everything is the same as on gmail webmail, but on my main account it's different, like i described!

I too am having the same issue. I delete emails and they aren't going to either trash bins and seem to disappear. Where are they going? How do we find them? Version 91.4.1. Thanks.
