I am logged in on both my laptop (windows 8) and android, using my email. I want to sync my tabs so that I can open the same page on my phone and my laptop. I have three tabs open on my android, I go to firefox desktop, click the three lines in the top right corner, click library, click synced tabs, there is nothing there but "view synced tabs sidebar" (which is empty), "manage devices" (when I click it opens a blank page), and "sync now" (nothing happens when I click this). In my settings, under connected services, I see both my desktop and my android device, so it is recognizing that I am logged in to both places. Somehow I managed to migrate my bookmarks from my laptop to my phone, but it doesn't update when I add anything new (should it? I can't find a 'sync bookmarks' button). If it's important, I had to sign in on my phone with my email address, as the QR code on my laptop doesn't show up, instead says "pairing unsuccessful, try again". Nothing changes when I click this. Please help, this is very frustrating and I can't find anything that will explain why this is happening or what I'm doing wrong.

Okay I've solved it now. I signed out of everything and signed back in again. Synchronized tabs doesn't pick up everything (my laptop and phone read each other but the ipad is out of the loop now) but at least now I can send tabs between devices.

Hi

Are you signed into the same Firefox Account on both devices?

more options

Yes, I am signed in with the same email address and password. As I said in my post, in my Firefox accounts under connected services, both my laptop and my android appear, so it is the same account.

This morning I connected my iPad with my Firefox account using the same email and can send tabs between my phone and iPad, so it seems the issue is with my laptop. The version that I'm using on my laptop is up to date, though.
