I had Menu Bar and Mail Toolbar in the message window (as well as the main window), but they disappeared and can ont get them back. I try right clicking around space where they were, but window to restore does not reappear as it does when one of the bars is already there.

Press the alt key to make the Menu Bar appear. From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on.

FYI: The alt key and F10 have revealed hidden menu bars since the beginning of Windows. It is a good shortcut to remember.
