Why did you remove Tab Manager?

The removal of tab groups and the tab manager has completely destroyed my workflow in Firefox Quantum. I'm seriously considering going back to 56 because the inability to separate my tabs into groups means they get disorganized and impossible to manage.

The add-ons that are available can't match the function of the old manager - they reload all tabs in a group every time you switch a group, meaning it's basically unusable if you have a large amount of tabs (which I do.)

Why did you remove support? That was literally the main reason I used Firefox over Chrome or Safari.

Tab Manager :

Search for a Alternative in the above URL, there are several; use the term : tab groups (also recommend copy and paste into the search)

Well, that answers why the extension broke, I guess.

But is there any chance of a native tab manager being put back in? The original tab manager was native, and was removed for... Some reason, which is the only reason the version I was using is now an extension.

Because of the way extensions work, all of the tab organizers I've seen have to load and unload groups of tabs are a time, making it a pain to switch between two groups at once, because it has to then reload the entire group and unload the previous group.

The old system was superior in every way, but will now require it to be natively included by Mozilla

Just check back with the 1st URL supplied. People are picking up where people decided to stop.

Found this for you :

No there is no way that is going to happen. Mozilla Firefox is now keeping the files of Firefox clear of addon breaking programs.

There will be Extensions made sooner or later that will push the limits of what is allowed and it takes time.
