Does the browser delete cookies by itself ?
Cookies are just cleared by themselves .. I'm logged out of all my sites with no reason , i didn't clear my cookies or anything , and i thought that i'd downloaded smth that might have installed a keystroke logger that intentionally cleared my cookies so i log back in , but i did malware scans using several tools and they found nothing .. could this be done by the browser ????

Hi !
Could it be that you're in permanent private browsing mode ? Would you check this :
3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Privacy & Security => Browser Privacy Under 'History' choose : 'Use custom settings for history' and make sure that 'Always use private browsing mode' is unchecked
no , unfortunately that's not it it's unchecked

Bummer !
You could this : close Firefox and delete 'cookies.sqlite' from your profile.
See : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
If clearing cookies didn't help then It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder that stores the cookies got corrupted.
- rename/remove cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and if present delete cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal in the Firefox profile folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Let the cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make them session cookies instead of using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the cookies.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: Keep until: "I close Firefox"
You can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies.
