Is the default cache in RAM or storage device?
Is the default cache in RAM or storage device? I added browser.cache.disk.parent_directory to point at a folder on a SSD. After researching support, I am confused as to whether my addition hurt or helped performance.
Keazen oplossing
According to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.cache.disk.parent_directory, it should be in the cache.
In order to test this, you might simply switch back that setting to its default value and check whether performance improves or not.

You can find the location of the disk cache on the about:cache page and also check the about:profiles page.
Thanks for the information
Note that the disk cache is heavily used to write data to and may not be suited to use for the disk cache as this can lead to earlier wear off.

I observed that just one web page creates several entries in the cache.
